4002 Using Web 2.0 Tools to Enhance School-Home Connections

Roxanne Pickle and Siri Anderson, Bemidji State University Families of children and youth with special needs, including English language learners and gifted and talented students, appreciate it when educators provide differentiation. Educators want all students to succeed, but differentiating curriculum and activities to reach the needs of students in the classroom can be daunting. In this session, we will introduce teachers to web 2.0 tools that will allow them to create web pages with differentiated content. The tools can be displayed on the class web page to strengthen school-home connections. We will look at ways to structure collaborative online activities for various kinds of learners.
